Accounting Controller

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to lead financial operations within one of our aerospace manufacturing facilities. This strategic leader will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with internal controls, and the generation of financial statements. The Controller will oversee inventory and fixed asset management, cost controls, risk management, and financial forecasting, while partnering with plant leadership to drive operational and financial performance.

This key role reporting to the Novaria Group Corporate Controller will proactively lead the accounting function for Precision Aero while providing occasional support to other Novaria Group locations on an as needed basis. The successful individual must possess top notch experience and a successful track record of managing an overall accounting strategy in a manufacturing environment. This position will be expected to drive and implement consistent processes and procedures to increase organizational effectiveness and lead strategy and tactics to positively impact overall business performance and financial metrics.

• Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial results and forecasts.
• Ensure all production orders, invoices, manual entries, and account reconciliations are completed.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, banking compliance requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and facilitate internal and external audits (GAAP financials, government cost accounting, 401(k), and compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance reporting to banks and lenders.
• Provide support and back-up for site weekly payroll processing.
• Collaborate with other Novaria Group sites to ensure that accounting initiatives and policies are aligned and fully support accuracy, consistency, and applicable compliance requirements.

• Monitor and control plant spending, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash/Treasury functions.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper controls, monthly reconciliations, and identification of excess / aging materials.
• Align with Operation Manager to lead the annual inventory, ensuring accurate count and complete reconciliation process, with corresponding entries to record any variances.
• Lead fixed asset accounting, including capital project reviews, asset capitalization, and physical asset inventory.

• Act as a financial partner to plant leadership, driving cost-saving and productivity initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing solutions for risk mitigation and business growth.
• Develop and monitor financial performance metrics, ensuring organizational accountability.
• Lead annual budget preparation and the strategic/operating planning process in line with Novaria Group corporate objectives.
• Support the General Manager, Novaria leadership and Board with ad hoc business analysis and financial insights.

• Lead ERP system implementation and ensure effective IT cost controls.
• Implement cost accounting policies and procedures established by corporate while optimizing financial efficiency.
