HSE Specialist Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify and propose corrective measures for unsafe work conditions, methods, and practices, prioritizing risk assessment and mitigation
  • Intervene, advise, and report on unsafe working conditions or environmental practices, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace through auditing
  • Deliver comprehensive HSE orientation programs for employees, providing essential foundational training to promote safety awareness
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing timely and factual investigation reports to facilitate monitoring and reporting
  • Offer guidance and support to management and employees on HSE matters, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance, striving for an injury-free and sustainable workplace
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in HSE practices
  • Take responsibility for overseeing one facility or site, serving as a Subject Matter Expert in areas such as Machine Safety or Chemicals, reinforcing safety protocols and environmental stewardship
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on HSE experience in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, construction, or similar operational environment
  • Professional HSE certification preferred (e.g., CHST, CSP, NEBOSH, CIH, or equivalent)
  • OSHA, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 training or certification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace safety inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions
  • Proven background in incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and formal report preparation
  • Experience delivering HSE training and orientation programs to employees at various organizational levels
