A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITIES COORDINATOR

As a Facilities Coordinator, you play a vital role in supporting the people that we serve as you work alongside them. You will coordinate and supervise all aspects of janitorial, maintenance and groundskeeping functions related to 110 Foss Way facility and assist with the ODOT Rest Areas for which RT holds the contract. Coordinates, schedules personnel, and supervises all aspects of designated on‑site mobile work crews, janitorial, and groundskeeping anges for substitutes at all levels colorful as needed to include filling in for the absences/vacancies when necessary.

Ensures that all services contracted for are accomplished to RT satisfaction through regular inspections and through communication with outside vendors. Knows all expectations and specification of the contacts/services provided and ensures compliance at or above customer expectations. You will be responsible to turn in paperwork, receipts, packing slips, expense reports, quotes, maintenance request, inspection forms, drill forms, rental agreements, and bills to the Employment & Facilities Director in a timely and accurate manner.

You will hold the responsibility of opening and closing of 110 Foss Way to include key access and for necessary security measures during regular operating hours to include weekends. Performs maintenance duties necessary for the efficient use of the facility and reports all needs for major maintenance to the Employment & Facilities Director. As a safety committee co‑chair you will perform both routine and periodic safety inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FACILITIES COORDINATOR

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience in building and equipment maintenance and an understanding of building codes and regulations
  • Satisfactory Abuser Registry, Web‑database and criminal background checks as defined in OAC 5123:2-2-02
  • Maintain the ability to pass a drug screen
  • Possess & maintain a valid Ohio driver's license with less than (6) points on record at any PACK times
  • Ability to conduct organizational and administrative duties, troubleshoot issues, manage projects, and prioritize responsibilities
  • Communicates effectively in written and oral form
  • Basic understanding of computer applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Covered teken an valid liability insurance as specified by Ohio law
