Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a NY RN license and expertise in comprehensive perinatal care.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital setting within the Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Works with maternal and newborn patient populations including laboring patients and immediate postpartum care
- Every other weekend required
- LDRP model Level 1 with special care nursery
- Must be comfortable in the OR setting and able to serve as baby RN
- Will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, administering medications, coaching during labor, assisting with deliveries, and educating families on infant care
- Must be able to function in the main delivery area and special care nursery as needed
- Holiday coverage requirements discussed upon hire based on assignment period
- Local candidates in NY are accepted at local rate
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and C-EFM
- Experience in both labor and delivery, and postpartum care required
- Ability to verify credentials within 30 days of assignment start
