📍 Near Troy, New York
💰 Pay Rate: $20/hour
🕒 Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

A well-established manufacturer of heavy-duty infrastructure equipment is seeking a Material Handler to support production and shipping operations. This hands-on role is critical to keeping materials moving efficiently through the shop and ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products used in municipal, industrial, and flood-control applications.

Position Overview:
The Material Handler supports assembly and shipping operations by accurately receiving, moving, staging, and loading materials. This role works closely with shop-floor personnel and leadership to ensure inventory is organized, accessible, and aligned with production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and finished products
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and freight containers
• Receive incoming materials and route them to appropriate staging or storage areas
• Verify quantities, part descriptions, and condition of materials against packing slips and work orders
• Stage materials to support assembly, fabrication, and offsite processing
• Load outbound shipments onto common carrier vehicles
• Assist with investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and returns
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
• Support special projects and additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Job Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred
• Forklift operation experience required
• Ability to read packing lists, work orders, and basic documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Commitment to workplace safety and required PPE
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
