The Senior Director, Solutions engineering will lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Solutions Engineering team that serves as the technical bridge between sales and product. The Director will drive revenue by ensuring the technical win, optimizing the demo-to-close process, and aligning Interact’s software capabilities with the complex business challenges of Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts.
A little about you...- A minimum of 3+ years of demonstrable success in managing and leading a Solutions Engineering or Pre‑sales team.
- Proven track record in software or technology sales environments, specifically navigating the mid‑market and enterprise segments.
- Comprehensive understanding of complex B2B sales cycles, with the ability to guide a team through extended technical engagements.
- Proven ability to manage a team toward exceeding technical win rates and supporting overall quota attainment.
- Exceptional experience delivering compelling technical demonstrations and value propositions to C‑level executives.
- Highly organized and results‑oriented with a strong sense of accountability for managing team activities and technical resources.
- Experience thriving in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, demonstrating a dynamic and flexible approach to leadership.
- Oversee and develop the current team of Solutions Engineers, providing technical mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
- Manage team assignments to ensure high‑priority deals receive expert technical support throughout the sales cycle.
- Define and maintain "best-in-class" standards for product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and technical RFPs.
- Partner with the Sales leadership to navigate complex B2B sales cycles and ensure 100% technical alignment with prospect needs.
- Translate complex business requirements into tangible technical value propositions involving Intranet or social software solutions.
- Act as the "voice of the customer" for the Marketing, Product and Engineering teams to influence the roadmap based on field insights.
- Maintain and optimize the demo environment and sales enablement tools to ensure a seamless "storytelling" experience.
- Monitor performance indicators such as technical win rates, demo quality, and the efficiency of the discovery-to-demo transition.
- Participate in trade shows and webinars as a technical thought leader, maintaining an engaging presence on Linked In.
