Overview
Find your calling at Mercy! Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Schedule: Day Shift
Schedule Autonomy: 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts available
Responsibilities- Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
- Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
- Provide general supervision of physical therapy assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
- Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
- Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
- Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
- Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
