The Cath Lab Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice, uses the nursing process to provide professional nursing care with patient-family centered care principles. The Cath Lab Nurse delivers quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont policies and procedures. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the nurse provides specialized care within the cath lab and across the cath lab care continuum (Pre/Intra/Post Lab) while applying critical thinking and strong communication.

• Required Associate's Degree. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Required Bachelor's Degree. B.S.N., or M.S.N., or DNP/PhD. If not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate or nurse with less than one year of experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one year of licensure and complete within five years (effective April 18, 2023).
• 1 year of relevant experience. Minimum of one year acute care experience required.
• Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Procedural/OR experience preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Specialty Certification – unknown; 2 years required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – by AHA or ARC;
  Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – by AHA; 180 days required.
