4 North is a 37‑bed med‑surg unit with a focus on stroke and neurology patients. Nurses joining our team will enhance critical thinking and clinical judgement while providing the highest level of nursing care to a wide range of complex disease processes. This experience will deepen your nursing knowledge, clinical practice, and autonomy as a strong, independent, skilled registered nurse. Scope of Work

The RN, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the nursing process framework to provide professional care by incorporating patient‑family centered principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN delivers quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures, recognizing the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes. The RN partners with patients and families, incorporates their input and goals into care planning, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning appropriately in the health record.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s in Nursing required
  • Bachelor’s in Nursing required within the past 5 years
  • Graduates from a non‑accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute‑care experience or two years of experience in a licensed health‑care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX exam
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation required
