Weld Supervisor Position Summary
The Weld Supervisor is responsible for overseeing weld technicians and ensuring all welding operations meet established quality, safety, and production standards. This role ensures product integrity, optimizes welding resources, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports plant performance objectives. The Weld Supervisor serves as a technical leader, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality systems, and environmental standards.
Manufacturing & Technical- Welding Processes:
- Manual Welding
- MIG Welding (Robotic & Manual)
- Projection Welding
- Resistance Welding
- Robotic Welding
- Robotics Platforms:
- ABB
- FANUC
- Supervise and support weld technicians to ensure compliance with welding standards and work instructions
- Monitor welding processes to ensure optimal parameters, quality output, and production efficiency
- Address welding equipment issues in coordination with Maintenance
- Validate and document welding process conditions and parameters
- Maintain accurate records of welding parameters and production reports
- Support audits and customer compliance requirements
- Monitor welding performance indicators and implement corrective actions
- Technical Degree in related field or
- Minimum three (3) years of related manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of welding standards and quality systems
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
