Role SummaryWe are seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join our Fabrication team. This role plays a critical part in producing high‑quality welded and fabricated components that meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations. The Welder / Fabricator supports Trystar’s mission to become the world’s foremost custom power solution provider by delivering safe, accurate, and reliable work every day.

- Perform TIG welding on aluminum materials, utilizing precise heat control and filler metal to create strong and aesthetically appealing welds.
- Clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for welding, removing any contaminants or impurities that could affect the quality of the weld.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate TIG welding torch, gas flow, and amperage, based on the thickness and type of aluminum being welded.
- Inspect finished welds for defects and discontinuities, using visual inspection and non‑destructive testing methods as required to ensure the product being manufactured meets required specifications.
- Work with a variety of welding joint configurations, such as butt joints, lap joints, and fillet welds, depending on the project's specifications.
- Safely handle and move aluminum materials and welded components during the welding process.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as brake presses, punch presses, saws, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Fabricate parts and assemblies using blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials to precise specifications.
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure conformance to specifications – including welds, fabricated parts, and steel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with team members, team leads, and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Support continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives.
- Accurately record production data in Epicor.
- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
- Examine and verify the integrity of aluminum materials to ensure they meet the required quality standards before welding.
- Must have experience in primarily TIG welding and MIG welding.
- Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, particularly on aluminum materials, to produce high‑quality welds with minimal defects.
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with different grades and types of aluminum and their corresponding welding requirements.
- Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
