Position Description

The Concrete Paver Operator is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the equipment.

We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by the foreman.

Position Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Proper operation and setup of the paver.
• Match paving speed and material delivery to job conditions.
• Perform daily maintenance and lubrication on paver.
• Perform all mechanical repairs possible and communicate with shop on deficiencies.
• Screed width-build up screed extensions to match paving width in all cases.
• Understanding of the Trimble System on the Concrete Paver
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Be able to communicate with all positions of the workforce
• Exhibit honesty and trustworthiness
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 2-5 years of paver operator experience, or in a related field
• Experience in concrete is preferred

Work Environment/Physical Abilities:

The physical abilities of this position require the employee to be able to frequently sit, stand, climb, low level work, reaching, bending, and trunk movements. Also may require carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking. Lifting requirements may include up to 50 pounds. Traveling is an essential requirement of this position to ensure implementation of Concrete Paver Operator functions.
