Custodial Team Lead

Position: CUSTODIAL TEAM LEAD
The Custodial Team Lead is a hands-on leader within the Troy Campus Facilities team, supporting the Custodial Manager in overseeing daily custodial operations. This role provides direction to custodial team members, ensures high standards of cleanliness, and helps prepare ministry spaces for services and events. The ideal candidate leads by example, works well with others, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment.

Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support custodial team members during daily cleaning operations
• Review campus calendar and room schedules to ensure spaces are prepared before and after events
• Perform quality checks and verify task completion
• Assist with room setups and teardowns, including moving tables and chairs
• Complete routine custodial duties (vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, restroom sanitation)
• Replenish custodial and restroom supplies
• Support basic care and upkeep of custodial equipment
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on service and excellence

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of custodial experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability and strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (team lifting encouraged); climb stairs and ladders
• Mechanical aptitude a plus
• Basic mechanical aptitude a plus

This is a full-time, hourly role. It does require Woodside membership and active participation and the Troy campus.
