Account Manager

POSITION: EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ACCOUNT MANAGER

• Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, addressing their needs with precision and creativity.
• Take charge of carrier implementations and renewals.
• Manage a mixed book of small and large group accounts (200+ employees).
• Develop and perfect all employee communications, from Benefit Guides to Open Enrollment presentations.
• Plan and host annual Open Enrollment sessions, ensuring they are engaging and impactful.
• Provide training to HR contacts on Employee Navigator and other Benefit Administration platforms.
• Professionally manage and resolve any escalated employee-level issues.
• Support client-facing meetings focused on opportunities, renewals, compliance, and more.
• Nurture strong relationships within the carrier community and stay informed on industry trends.
• Identify client needs and recommend innovative products and services.
• Enhance your expertise in employee benefits through networking and ongoing professional development.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and federal laws that impact employee benefits.

• An active license in Life and Health (Michigan)
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the employee benefits industry
• Experience with ACA & compliance is preferred
• Extensive knowledge of insurance carriers and employee benefits
• Experience with Employee Navigator, Epic, or other comparable AMS is preferred
