Nurse Assistant 4 West – Corewell Health

About the Unit: 4 West is a 50‑bed, fast‑paced unit that provides compassionate quality care to medical and surgical patients, including colorectal, bariatric, otolaryngology, urology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, trauma, and general surgical patients.

Scope of Work- Provide care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Transport patients safely via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and document services appropriately.
- Serve as an observer for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
- Document care in the electronic medical record.
This position requires a full week of corporate orientation (Mon‑Fri, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). Attendance must be consecutive.
Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
- Current CNA certification preferred.

Shift: Night (United States of America).
Hours:
7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (36 hours weekly). Days worked:
Saturday to Sunday; every third weekend.
