Senior Tax Manager

About the Role

Gordon Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager – Trust & Estates to join our growing practice in Troy, MI. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage complex estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary income tax engagements while mentoring staff and building trusted client relationships.

• Lead multiple tax engagements, delivering high-quality tax preparation, research, planning, and consulting services.
• Review and prepare estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
• Conduct estate research and tax analysis; document findings and provide strategic advice.
• Perform Power of Attorney responsibilities and follow up with government authorities as needed.
• Supervise and develop estate/trust staff, delegating responsibilities effectively.
• Provide exceptional client service while identifying new business and cross-sell opportunities.
• Stay current on changes in tax law and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field.
• 5–10 years of relevant compliance experience in estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary tax services.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with estate, trust, and fiduciary accounting software a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
