Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern

Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist the Automotive Sealing engineering team with documenting engineering changes and developing design countermeasures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist automotive sealing engineering group with day-to-day design and development activities for current and future automotive programs

* Support engineering team in benchmarking activity for components, parts, and/or vehicles

* Prepare and support Engineering Change Instruction (ECI) package for current and future vehicle programs

* Prepare FEA request, Breadboards and support design review meetings

Qualifications and

Competencies:

* Minimum of 2 years' undergraduate studies completed

* Coursework towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Excellent organization and communication skills required

* Highly analytical and detail-oriented

* CATIA V5 or NX design experience is preferred
