About The Role

The Claims Customer Service Representative will handle inbound calls related to homeowner insurance claims. This is a high-level call center role requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and resilience.

Calls range from 1 minute to 45 minutes, often involving customers who are frustrated about repair delays or held funds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 40–50 inbound calls per day (volume varies based on call length)
  • Assist homeowners regarding existing claims
  • Navigate multiple systems and tools to research claim details
  • Provide accurate information to lenders, homeowners, and internal partners
  • Handle escalation calls with professionalism and composure
  • Update notes and documentation in the claims system
  • Perform outbound follow-up calls as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between Proctor, the lender, and the homeowner
  • Maintain calm and professional demeanor during difficult conversations
  • Solve problems efficiently and communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats
Training & Schedule Details Training
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Fully onsite
Hybrid Eligibility
  • After taking calls independently for 30 full days (January)
  • Hybrid eligibility begins February, if performance expectations are met
  • Must maintain 95% quality and 85% adherence
  • Hybrid schedule depends on: performance, adherence, attendance, and quality
Post-Training Shifts

Assigned based on business needs of the supported bank.

  • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • (Monday–Friday)
Required Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of call center experience (claims, escalations, or insurance preferred)
  • Strong proficiency using a Windows PC and navigating complex systems
  • 35+ WPM typing speed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
