The position involves serving as a properties shop assistant, lighting technician, and/or scene shop technician, assisting with lighting and scenic design, set up, operation, breakdown, and inventory organization.

• Current Troy University student enrolled in at least six credit hours
• Theatre or dance major or minor
• Experience in properties, lighting, or sets
• Completed lighting techniques and/or technical theatre classes

Note:

Student positions are FICA/Medicare exempt only if enrolled in classes during the work semester. Enrollment must be at least half-time for exemption eligibility.

Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.

10 to 15 hours per week, hours vary.

• Work with high-heat or high-current tools
• Operate shop equipment such as saws

No supervisory responsibilities.
