The role of a Sitework Laborer is to assist in the preparation and development of sitework operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks. This includes supporting grading, excavation, demolition and other sitework activities to ensure the site is ready for construction according to plans and specifications. Typical tasks include assisting the operators with digging trenches, installing underground utilities, and setting grades.

A desire to learn GPS, layout, surveying, and structural demolition is strongly encouraged. This position works under the direction of the Sitework Foreman.

Responsibilities:

* Being reliable and punctual are essential along with understanding time management and ability to prioritize workload to meet schedules and deadlines.

* Ability to understand and set grades.

* Familiar with installation of underground utilities (water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer).

* Knowledge of, or desire to learn, GPS, layout, surveying and structural demolition is strongly encouraged.

* Adhere to safety and quality standards of The Alan Group's procedures and OSHA including PPE gear and jobsite safety.

* As a member of our team, you will be responsible to represent our brand in a professional manner, which includes dress, demeanor and language.

Qualifications:

* Valid and clean driver's license as the position requires driving to jobsites throughout the Metro Detroit area.

* High school diploma or equivalent (additional education is great but it is not required). If you have specific machine training or certifications, please let us know!

* 1+ years of demonstrated proficiency and skill with a sitework crew.

* Salary $25-30 an hour, depending on demonstrated experience and skill.
