The Business Development Manager for International will drive the growth of our company’s products and services within the international commercial and government sectors. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with governments, government end users, commercial resellers, agents, reps, dealers and distributors as well as identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets/goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with an understanding of international sales to include government procurement outside of the United States, has excellent communication skills, and a proven or strongly developing track record in the referenced space.
This role is responsible not only for driving new opportunities, including government business capture management, proposal development, and program execution support, but also for support of the international commercial resale market.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the company’s presence on the international front; both government and commercial resale.
- Identify and pursue new applicable business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders; both internal and external.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, and customer support) to ensure client needs are met and solutions are properly tailored.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to showcase products and services.
- Create and provide necessary reports for leadership and colleagues using provided business intelligence (BI) tools.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, pricing, and terms to close deals while ensuring profitability and overall benefit to the company.
- Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market insights using CRM tools.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards for international business (ITAR, EAR, FCPA, OFAC, etc.).
- Oversee proposal development preparation and lifecycle(s) ensuring compliance with RFP/RFT requirements.
- Provide necessary support to all dealers, distributors, reps and agents in relevant countries that EOTECH does business.

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a competitive market.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Proficiency in CRM/Pipeline software (e.g. Salesforce, Odoo, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and develop actionable strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; sometimes remotely.
- Familiarity with export requirements and international shipping best practices.
- Strong understanding of any/all regulatory compliance requirements specific to international business.
- Strong understanding of ethical considerations and regulations surrounding international and government sales/business.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, criminal justice, public administration, a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., sales training, related credentials) are a plus.
