Accounting Manager

Our Partner is a small but rapidly expanding organization seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of the company. This role requires a hands‑on accounting professional who is comfortable operating in a growing environment and taking ownership of the full finance function. The role is in person only at our office in Troy, MI.

• Accurately record all financial transactions into Quickbooks
• Oversee all general ledger activity for 4+ businesses and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and year-end financial statements
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management
• Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit‑ready financial records
• Coordinate with the company’s outside accounting firm on tax filings, audits, and financial reporting
• Collaborate with in‑house legal counsel and paralegal staff to support financial, tax, and regulatory compliance
• Support the development of scalable financial processes and internal controls as the organization grows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an accounting firm utilizing Quickbooks
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a full understanding of financial statements and general ledger activity
• Hands‑on experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data management
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks

• Must know Quickbooks inside and out
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self‑starter with a positive, solutions‑oriented mindset

• Salary starting at $100-115k based on experience
• Health, Dental, and Vision 100% paid for by employer
