You will be the Quality Engineer Staff for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of manufactured products in the THAAD business area at Pike County Operations. What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer Staff you will be responsible for supporting quality initiatives, improving processes, and safeguarding product integrity. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and review quality standards, methods, and procedures for manufactured products.
* Support Integrated Product Teams and production sites with quality data analysis and reviews.
* Conduct failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and develop corrective-action plans.
* Participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non-conforming hardware.
* Perform assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
-STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education.
-Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and must have an interim clearance prior to starting.
-Ability to analyze and resolve design, manufacturing, and process issues varying from basic to very complex and technically challenging.
-Experience working non-conformance issues through to root cause and corrective / preventive action.
-Knowledge of AS9100 Quality systems.
-Working knowledge / experience of electronic testing methods in a manufacturing environment.
-Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications and schematics in order to develop inspection/test methods via work instructions.
-Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection.
-Ability to work with and around explosives.
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
-Experienced in using various inspection measurement tools.
-Ability to work (non-standard) hours as needed.
-Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

-Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt).
- Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment.
-Defense contractor or military contractor experience.
-Effective communication and presentation skills.
-Strong background in a DOD Quality Engineering area.
-Customer Relationship Management skills.
-Experience working with Government customers.
-SAP Application experience and or dispositioning QNotes.
-Demonstrated Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Skill.
-In-depth knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes, and tools.
-Demonstrated use of standard problem solving, troubleshooting tools, and root cause analysis skills.
-Ability to perform support functions and make appropriate quality decisions.
-Previous experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, National Instrument's Lab-View Lab-Windows CVI and Test-Stand software and a familiarity with common electronic test equipment, components and devices…
