Hygiene Operative

Overview

This role is working 40 hours per week, working
Monday - Friday 06:00hrs - 14:00hrs

You will be working in our food factory, moving equipment into the packing area so that frozen product can be packed ready for delivery to distribution depots.

£13.40 per hour. Increasing to £13.80 per hour from 1st May 2026 + Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

General
Tasks

• To be a key member of the factory hygiene team responsible for the emptying, stacking and wrapping of the returned red baskets within the yard. To replenish the empty red basket stock for the packing department.
• Follow correct hygiene procedures
• Operate to clean (and tidy) as you go policy
• Carry out efficient and effective clean downs
• Undertake ‘Basic Food Hygiene’ training: a pass level must be obtained

• Follow correct personal hygiene procedures (e.g. changing procedure, hand washing procedures)

Essential:

• Experience working as part of a team
• Good standard of English and Maths
• Positive attitude
• Be able to work on own initiative
• Be proactive
• Give feedback to team leader/supervisor

Desirable:

• Previous factory experience
• ‘Basic Food Hygiene’ training

The role requires a self-motivated enthusiastic individual who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of the team must also be committed to learning a diverse range of skills whilst still being able to hit the targets required.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route as it does not meet the minimumrequirements set out under the UK Immigration.
