About the RoleWe are looking for a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. You will be responsible for performing servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to vehicles to a high standard. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a professional workshop, is technically confident, and takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality work with excellent customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance
Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tools and software
Perform repairs on brakes, clutches, suspensions, exhausts, and engine systems
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
Work efficiently to meet workshop targets and customer expectations
Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
Collaborate with the team to support smooth workshop operations
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment
Experience as a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair preferred (Level 2 considered with strong experience)
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across a range of vehicles
Reliable, motivated, and detail-focused
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Clear communicator with good customer service skills
Full UK driving licence
Own tools preferred
Enthusiastic about continuous learning and skill development
