Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. The RN oversees daily clinical operations, assesses resident conditions, implements care plans, and supervises nursing staff including LPNs and CNAs. This role plays a critical part in promoting resident well-being, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a compassionate care environment.

Shifts- Day shift
- Night shift
- Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and respond to changes in health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, ensuring high standards of care.
- Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care.
- Document care accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with state, federal, and facility policies.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and medical crises, following proper protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and regulatory surveys.
- Educate residents and families on care plans, health conditions, and treatments.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, accountability, and compassionate care.
- Active RN license in the state of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required).
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in long‑term care or geriatric settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
