Field Equipment Installer - Light Industrial

Overview

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Equipment Installer for a variety of light industrial equipment based out of the Trenton, NJ area. Installed equipment can vary and may include restaurant grease containment units, checkout lanes, bike/clothing racking, and other customer equipment found in large retail or industrial locations. This position will utilize a company vehicle regionally and requires a valid, good standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday–Friday, averaging 40 hours per week. Vehicle, tablet, cell phone, and paid training provided.

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Unpack, catalog, and confirm parts and pieces are accounted for
• Install new equipment at locations designated by the customer
• Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches
• Install and repair electronic components of machinery or equipment
• Start machines and equipment to test operations following repair
• Drill through concrete and building walls as required
• Maintain records and report work orders, parts and supplies, and follow a daily agenda
• Travel involving overnight lodging may be required
• Protect company equipment (vehicle, tools, phone, tablet, credit card, parts) and follow maintenance guidelines on the company vehicle
• Perform additional duties as deemed necessary by a supervisor

• High school diploma or GED; good mechanical aptitude/skills
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit; able to operate within each customer’s business structure
• Good driving record
• Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Excellent time-management skills
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems
• Detail-oriented and dependable; maintains safety and quality standards
• Owns or can obtain basic standard and metric mechanical tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving skills; able to meet state and federal regulations

• Occasional long hours driving
• Sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch; talk or hear; taste or smell
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

• Travel up to an average of 300 miles per day
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals

• Typically, Monday through Friday. Weekends and after-hours work may be required if the customer agrees to emergency rates. On-call status ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays
• As this is a mobile position, the Field Equipment Installer can be based out of multiple cities around the Trenton, NJ area
