- Conduct routine inspections of the locations to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing doors, windows, locks, fixing plumbing leaks, painting, and replacing light bulbs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure their optimal functionality.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, identify potential issues, and repair or replace faulty components.
- Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure a comfortable working environment.
- Perform carpentry work such as building shelves, repairing furniture, and installing fixtures.
- Handle painting and plastering tasks to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
- Maintain and repair landscaping.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including tasks performed, materials used, and costs incurred.
- Collaborate with other maintenance workers or contractors as necessary to complete complex tasks or projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
- Must have a driver’s license and own transportation.
- Proven experience as a General Maintenance Worker or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of general maintenance techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and strength to handle manual tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular working hours for emergencies or special projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and transportation required.
- Certification in a relevant trade or maintenance field (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in a similar maintenance role is preferred.
