Job Overview
Professional caregiver who is responsible for the preparation of the patient prior to the procedure. To assist the physician during the performance of procedures, including but not limited to angioplasties and cardiac catheterization. Participates in unit Quality Improvement evaluation activities. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to provide age-specific treatment.

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on factors including education, skills, and experience.
QualificationsRequired- Current New Jersey RN license
- ASN or Nursing Diploma (Must agree to complete BSN within 5 years of hire date)
- BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
- At least 2 years of critical care experience
- Completion of a Dysrhythmia course
- Maintaining current status of competencies and mandatories
- BSN
- Cath Lab experience
- Provide patient preparation prior to procedures and assist the physician during procedures (e.g., angioplasties and cardiac catheterization)
- Participate in unit QUALITY Improvement evaluation activities
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development to provide age-specific treatment
- Implements hospital and CCL department policies and procedures
- Perform interventions according to policy, safety guidelines, and infection control principles
- Operate within the CCL roles (circulating, monitoring, holding, scrubbing) as needed
- Report patient concerns and untoward events to the physician or supervisor
- Provide patient care and comfort; assist with unit education; act as a resource and precept as delegated
- Assist cardiologist during procedures; maintain information system competence; manage CCL supplies and inventory
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient teaching; assess patient educational needs
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and environment
- Airway Management
- Arterial Line Management
- Cardiac/Respiratory Arrest Management
- Cardioversion and Defibrillation procedures
- Hemodynamic Monitoring and related assessments
- Rhythm Interpretation
- Scrub and Setup roles for cardiac catheterization
- Sheath removal and temporary pacemaker procedures
- IVUS/Angiojet/Sonosite equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Per Diem, Day shift
