Ultimate Staffing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Service Operations to lead a large, multi-region field service organization for a growing industry leader in the municipal, industrial, and commercial equipment space. This executive-level role oversees a service team of 100+ technicians, a centralized dispatch/support facility, and key revenue-generating service operations, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable business growth.

Position Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $130,000 - $165,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) + significant performance-based bonus opportunity

Responsibilities- Provide executive leadership for a team of 100+ field service technicians across four U.S. regions.
- Oversee a dedicated service facility responsible for dispatching, tracking, parts management, and final billing, ensuring all workflows support broader business goals.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence, efficiency, and accountability throughout all service delivery functions.
- Develop and mentor leaders across the service organization to promote high performance and continuous improvement.
- Establish, track, and optimize KPIs to ensure world-class service quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
- Analyze complex service performance data to identify opportunities, implement impactful corrective actions, and forecast operational needs.
- Define and execute long-range service strategies aligned with organizational goals and evolving market/technology trends.
- Develop and lead strategies to increase profitability and expand refurbished equipment sales—both direct and online.
- Manage P&L for the service organization, ensuring efficiency, cost control, and profitable growth.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale service operations.
- Proven success in the municipal, industrial, commercial floor care, or material handling industries.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate large distributed service technician teams.
- Strong command of service delivery processes, complex logistics, and parts supply chain management.
- Experience in refurbished equipment sales or lifecycle management strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing P&L, improving operational efficiency, and driving customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field required.
