Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to join our IT team. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid in Trenton, NJ.

What You'll Do

  • Provide end‑to‑end oversight of multiple interrelated projects within the enterprise Application Modernization program

  • Supervise, coach, and support assigned Project Managers to ensure consistent delivery standards, reporting, and governance practices

  • Manage program‑level scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and performance metrics across all work streams

  • Lead the transition from legacy mainframe/COBOL systems to cloud‑based Salesforce solutions and Mule Soft integrations

  • Oversee data migration efforts, system integrations, and legacy system decommissioning activities

  • Serve as the primary escalation point and executive liaison regarding program status, risks, and decision‑making needs

  • Manage vendor relationships, technical deliverables, and contractual compliance throughout the program lifecycle

  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committee meetings, and executive‑level briefings

  • Ensure strong stakeholder engagement and alignment across cross‑functional teams, divisions, agencies, and external partners

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 8–10+ years of IT project/program management experience, including oversight of concurrent, interdependent projects

  • Demonstrated leadership of large‑scale legacy modernization or digital transformation initiatives

  • Hands‑on experience with mainframe/COBOL modernization toward cloud‑based architectures

  • Experience overseeing enterprise Salesforce implementations and Mule Soft (or comparable iPaaS) integrations

  • Proven track record managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and vendor performance for initiatives exceeding $2M+

  • Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to and engaging senior leadership

  • Demonstrated governance leadership and cross‑functional stakeholder coordination

Preferred:

  • Government or public‑sector program management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent technical study'

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, Salesforce, ITIL, Agile)

  • Recognized subject-matter expertise in modernization, transformation, or enterprise architecture

  • Understanding of legacy modernization strategies (replatform, refactor, rebuild, retire)

  • Experience with enterprise data migration, API‑based integrations, and large-scale system transformations

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$100 - $120 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
