The Office of Conference & Event Services is seeking candidates for our Guest Services team to assist in all aspects related to the Summer Camp & Conference Program. Guest Services staff members assist in the operations of the Summer Camp & Conference residential programs and provide superior customer service to our campus guests. Overseen by a Senior Staff team and Professional Staff of the CES office, this position supports our objective of providing a high quality residential experience to all program participants and guests.
This is a summer position, beginning at the end of the academic year and ending in early August. Staff members are required to live on‑campus for the duration of the program. On‑campus housing accommodations are provided, in addition to shift meals and competitive hourly compensation.
Responsibilities- Assist in the overall delivery of services to the summer program guests by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Serve as a liaison for summer program guests, providing correct information, resources, and assisting with concerns.
- Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑inspections of campus facilities to ensure availability for use and determine any issues or damages.
- Assist with guest needs and requests, including but not limited to media setup, signage, linens, lock outs, and room issues.
- Conduct guest check‑ins and check‑outs in an organized and welcoming manner.
- Communicate consistently and efficiently with coworkers, Senior Staff, and to the Professional Staff of CES.
- Other duties as assigned in relation to the needs of summer program guests and the success of the program overall.
- Understand how to provide an excellent customer service and hospitality experience to any campus guest.
- Gain knowledge of campus resources and awareness of all campus activities.
- Exhibit professionalism and confidence working in a fast paced environment.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to solve problems and complete tasks.
- Engage in active listening to understand and properly address guest questions and concerns.
- Be a TCNJ student returning in Fall 2026 with summer availability for a full‑time, on‑campus role.
- Act in a mature and professional manner when approaching situations at all times while on campus.
- Adhere to all college policies and procedures while in residence and on campus.
- Assume responsibility for all assigned shifts. Exceptional attention to detail when working with large amounts of keys or access cards.
- Strong ability to cooperate with co‑workers to create a fair and reasonable work environment for all.
