LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for a CAD Drafter for our client in the Trenton, NJ area. This direct hire role allows you to expand your engineering career within a stable collaborative and thriving organization. This on-site position requires a minimum of five years’ current experience and a proven high proficiency in working with Autodesk Civil 3D. Successful candidates will have proven extensive drafting skills, understand survey workflow operations, and be a successful independent contributor as well as a collaborative team player.

Hourly range: $

• Work closely with survey field crews to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist engineers and project managers in preparing design documents, exhibits, and permitting plans.
• Project Documentation & Standards
• Maintain project files, layer standards, and title blocks in alignment with company and client specifications.
• Mapping & Drafting
• Draft existing conditions and site layout plans based on field-collected data.
• Create detailed base maps, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Survey Data Management & Modeling
• Import, process, and manage field survey data using Civil 3D and related software tools.
• Generate surfaces, contours, alignments, and profiles using Civil 3D.
• Quality Assurance
• Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and industry standards.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil/survey CAD drafting.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D (version 2018 or newer).
• Strong grasp of land surveying principles and terminology.
• Skilled in interpreting field notes, deeds, plats, and construction plans.
• Familiar with coordinate systems, georeferencing, and survey data collection methods such as GPS and Total Station.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with GIS integration and point cloud data processing.
