Responsibilities- Track attendance in all classes.
- Communicate with Scholars concerning questions about class material and homework.
- Other administrative needs.
- Support 5-10 High School Scholars as they navigate the Summer Academy.
- Support the Summer Academy Director with Summer Academy tasks and events.
- Establish relationships with scholars by being physically, virtually, and mentally available.
- Attend and fully participate in virtual/in-person staff training.
- Follow and enforce Summer Academy standards and expectations.
- Manage administrative tasks as requested.
- Strengthen interpersonal communication skills
- Develop a working knowledge of student development theories
- Engage in collaboration to execute the mission and goals of the Cooperman College Scholars program
- Participated in or worked for a summer camp or pre-college program as a youth counselor
- Strong ability to coach, motivate, and inspire young people to achieve ambitious goals
- The ability to self-manage tasks
- Strong skills in building community
