Community Relations Assistant - Summer Student Position

Job Description:

Coordinate summer food program for families in community housing

• Track program expenditures
• Assist and coordinate program development and delivery
• Liaise with community organizations to ensure service delivery
• Organize community events/opportunities for low-income people living in community housing within Hastings County
• Provide information regarding available community programs to community housing residents
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/

Qualifications:

Enrolled as post-secondary student (College/University) and returning to full-time education at a post-secondary institution in September 2026.

• Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize
• Experience/education in social services field required
• Experience/education relating to children, youth and seniors an asset
• Experience with statistical analysis is an asset
• The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Must have own vehicle or regular access to a vehicle
• Clear police background check
• Confidentiality Agreement must be signed

Work Location: Belleville and/or Trenton

Position Length: May 11 – August 28, 2026

Wage Range: $18.00-$20.00 per hour + 4% vacation per pay
