ABOUT ACHIEVERS:
Achievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is New Jersey’s first public charter school for middle and high school students that offers unique STEAM pathways (Health Sciences, Digital Media, Audio Engineering, and Cisco Computer Networking). Students can earn up to 60 college credits, NOCTI credentials, and workplace training. AECP focuses on ensuring students graduate with content mastery, skills, and experiences essential to the marketplace.

THE ROLE
AECP seeks high school teachers who continuously improve curriculum and instruction through collaboration.
Responsibilities include:
- Expert in English Language Arts content knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of ELA interventions (guided reading, small group instruction)
- Comfort with online applications to enhance learning
- Design and implement curriculum and assessments that measure progress toward academic standards
- Use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
- Receptive to weekly coaching and committed to growth
- Provide consistent rewards and consequences for student behavior
- Implement multiple techniques for increased student engagement and checking for understanding
Accountable for student mastery of academic standards - Familiarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platforms
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred - Teaching experience in upper elementary, middle, or high school with underserved populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse audiences
- Valid NJ Teacher Certification completed or in progress
