Sr. Engagement Manager - Professional Services (FINS)
Databricks is seeking the Sr. Engagement Manager - Professional Services (FINS) role to deepen partnerships with Financial Services (FINS) customers by guiding successful architecture and use of the Databricks platform, delivering value across the engagement life-cycle and beyond. The Sr. Engagement Manager positions, prepares, and follows up on professional services and training engagements, ensuring customers maximize value from our products and services.
This role partners with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product Teams on campaigns, programs, and content, reporting to the Director, Professional Services.
- Identify opportunities for new services by understanding and addressing potential new use-cases and explaining the business value in the upsell or extension of services.
- Perform as the Sr. Engagement Manager in the assigned area and for meeting/exceeding Professional Services and Training bookings and revenue targets.
- Consult with clients to understand engagement scope, requirements, time, cost, and benefits. Responsible for estimating, scoping, and developing the statement of work documents.
- Work closely with the sales counterpart and engage early in the sales process to understand customers needs, their businesses, and how success is defined, ensuring delivery exceeds expectations and solutions are valued.
- Demonstrate a passion for the job and lead by example by putting Databricks and our customers first to achieve the sales and delivery mission.
- Resolve delivery challenges, address resource contentions, scoping issues and manage expectations.
- 7+ years running a Professional Services and Training Services line of business with a focus on Financial Services clients.
- 7+ years in customer-facing roles that require influencing, validating, negotiating, understanding, and execution.
- Data and AI domain experience working with Financial Services customers to realize business value through to production implementations.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, including working with Executives and other team members.
- Experience identifying customer needs and implementing solutions. Experience partnering with Global System Integrators (GSI) on product and service strategies.
- Service delivery and program management skills with the ability to summarize customer success outcomes into well-structured program plans.
- Travel is required up to 25%, with higher rates during peak times.

Actual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and location. The total compensation package may include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits.

- Zone 1 Pay Range: $162,800—$227,900 USD
- Zone 2 Pay Range: $146,500—$205,150 USD
- Zone 3 Pay Range: $138,400—$193,750 USD
- Zone 4 Pay Range: $130,200—$182,250 USD
