Part Time Accountant - QuickBooks

Description

Our client is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to manage day-to-day general accounting functions.

This role will support the ongoing financial operations of the business and is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, and experienced working in Quick Books.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform general accounting activities, including journal entries and month-end support

+ Handle revenue recognition and ensure accurate recording in accordance with company policies

+ Complete account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, balance sheet accounts)

+ Process and review payroll expenses and related entries

+ Assist with financial statement preparation (P& L, balance sheet, supporting schedules)

+ Prepare monthly reporting and provide basic variance explanations

+ Maintain the general ledger in Quick Books and ensure accuracy and completeness

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Prior experience in a general accounting or staff accountant role

+ Strong working knowledge of Quick Books

+ Solid understanding of revenue recognition, reconciliations, and journal entries

+ Comfortable preparing and working with financial statements

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

+ CPA or accounting degree preferred, but not required
