About the Hospital

Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is a 193‑bed, acute‑care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university‑affiliated residency programs. This Magnet-designated facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care and is one of four recipients of the Truven Health Advantage Award in the category of Health and Clinical Outcomes. The hospital houses the region’s only verified Level II trauma center and offers nationally recognized heart, vascular and pulmonary specialties, a wide array of surgical services—including minimally invasive robotic procedures, orthopedic and neurosurgery—as well as comprehensive women’s health services ranging from gynecological to advanced breast care.

Scope

of Work

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide top‑notch patient care, using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient‑family‑centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you will be a vital member of the team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Qualifications
  • Required Associate’s Degree or equivalent graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or equivalent.
  • Required Bachelor’s Degree (BSN), MSN, or DNP/PhD – if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years, required. This is effective April 18, 2023.
  • Graduates from non‑accredited school of nursing programs must have at least one year of acute care experience or greater than two years of experience in a licensed health care role, such as an LPN or EMT role, and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – State: MI;
    State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
  • Specialty Certification – Unknown; 2 years required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required.
