Respiratory Therapist – Corewell Health

Trenton – Full time, 36 hours per week, rotating afternoon shift 11am-11pm or 3pm-11pm. $10,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified external new hires.

Our multigenerational respiratory department uses a strong skill set to provide care in our Level Two Trauma Center, Adult Critical Care units, and general care units.

About Corewell Health Trenton Hospital

Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193‑bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university‑affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit, and obstetrical care.

Scope

of Work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications
  • Required Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status. Required
  • LIC‑Respiratory Therapist –  State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT‑Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
  • CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
