Location Description

The Post Consumer Brands plant in Tremonton, Utah is part of the company’s West Coast network, with more than 220 team members supplying Malt-O-Meal bag cereals, PEBBLES cereals, and more to a variety of retailers. When you join the Tremonton team, you’ll be joining a group of motivated problem‑solvers and a safety‑first culture.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

Lead and support implementation of quality and food safety programs throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with SQF standards and regulatory requirements while championing a culture of food safety and quality. Serve as the SQF Practitioner and PCQI leader for the facility. Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Post Consumer Brands values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Quality Manager to plan and implement food safety and quality procedures that meet customer expectations.
  • Lead and conduct all internal audits to ensure compliance with SQF and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop and enhance food safety and quality management systems.
  • Manage and execute traceability systems.
  • Provide back‑up support to Quality department functions as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks to support plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; relative experience would be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance; food processing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SQF, PCQI, and current quality systems.
  • Technical skills:
    Statistical analysis, audit management.
  • Soft Skills;
    Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities; proven ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to lead multi‑site projects and drive data‑driven decisions.
  • Primarily on‑site work;
    Travel requirements less than 10%
Accountability

Operates within guidelines set by the Quality Manager while still exercising autonomy. Responsible for ensuring production of safe, high‑quality foods through food safety systems and continuous improvement. Lead cross‑functional food safety and quality initiatives.
