Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license and carry it at all times while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Courteously assist customers by answering questions; direct to Facility Manager as needed.
  • Report any known accidents, violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to garage office.
  • Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when authorized.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the vicinity.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required:

Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may vary; availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information one‑on‑one to customers and employees.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers and ten‑s and hundred‑s; perform operations using U.S. currency.

Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in full uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, hand usage to handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing or balancing; lift and move up to 75 pounds as needed.

Salary Range: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour.
