Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) – Emerging Markets

Location:

Gaylord, OR (Remote) / Traverse City, MI

Duration: 4+ months

Pay Range: $25.00/hr – $27.00/hr on W2

Description

  • Responsible for winning new business across your assigned geography and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the client.
  • Will travel to emerging markets and manage a largely transactional deal cycle to drive new partnerships with the best local and regional restaurants.
  • Coordinate work with a Regional Sales Manager on our Outside Sales team, accessing market and partnership information, sales tools (sales sheets, gift cards, business cards, etc.).
  • Field sales position with most transactions done face-to‑to‑face.
  • Travel throughout the territory is required, typically within 2 hours of the city hired for, with possible overnights and longer travel days (6‑7 hours driving or a plane flight).
  • Travel costs covered by the company and monitored for compliance.

  • Travel and expand the client’s footprint in untapped “emerging markets” across the country, primarily in rural areas.
  • Sell restaurant owners the value of partnering with the client and negotiate revenue share agreements.
  • Excel in a fast‑paced, transactional deal cycle and close new business within days.
  • Pay will include base compensation plus an uncapped commission;
    On Target Earnings (OTE) for commissions are $1,750 per month, with the opportunity to exceed this amount.

  • 1.5+ years of sales experience in a closing sales role or related experience.
  • Ability to travel (at least 50% of the time) to destination markets.
  • Efficient and strategic with inside and outside sales tactics to reach goals.
