Overview
The Telemetry Technician assists nursing departments by monitoring cardiac rhythms and alarms for groups of patients and promptly reporting and documenting cardiac rhythm disturbances to the nursing team.
Responsibilities- Monitor cardiac rhythms and alarms for groups of patients
- Promptly report and document cardiac rhythm disturbances to the nursing team
- Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent - Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 90 days of hire
- Prior experience with electrocardiograms or in some related medical field is required
- Applicant must successfully complete basic EKG class or pass the hospital’s EKG exam
- Works within the policy and procedures of nursing services and the hospital
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- Munson Healthcare also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
