As a Hospice CNA, you will play a vital role in providing hands‑on, compassionate care to patients in their homes or hospice settings. You will assist patients with daily living activities, emotional support, and personal comfort, ensuring dignity and respect at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic patient care as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Document and report patient information, including food and fluid intake/output.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and prevent complications.
- Provide compassionate end‑of‑life care, offering emotional and physical support to both patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients.
- Respect and uphold patient dignity, cultural values, and end‑of‑life wishes.
Skills &
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification (required).
- Previous experience in hospice, home health, or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Oasis (preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and follow nursing staff instructions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours and provide coverage in case of staffing shortages.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
