Nurse Practitioner

Modern Med Health Solutions is a dynamic healthcare organization based in Houston, TX. We are seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform Compensation & Pension (disability) examinations for Veterans. The position offers excellent work-life balance, with no after-hours, weekend, or holiday shifts, and a supportive environment that promotes growth.

• Review service-related injury claim(s), review pertinent medical records, perform a physical assessment of the Veteran, complete the corresponding disability questionnaire(s), and render a medical opinion(s) if needed.
• Clinical providers are guided through a web-based examination form in a proprietary online portal to capture patient information throughout the exam. Qualified candidates must be actively licensed and able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Candidates must possess basic computer skills.
• These examinations enable Veterans with service-related health conditions to access benefits specific to their needs.
• Perform related duties as needed.
• No prescribing or treatment plans.

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the state in which you are applying, and your license is in good standing.
• Required availability of 2 days per week. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 PM.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
• In addition to performing physical assessments, you are comfortable performing PAP smears and can interpret EKG, ABI Doppler & PFT tests.

• Work-Life Balance:
  There is no on call coverage, no after-hours, no weekend or holiday shifts.
• Support:
  The clinic is supported by a Clinic Manager and Medical Assistants. MMHS provides a dedicated Medical Records Reviewer to assist Providers with pertinent records.
• Training: MMHS offers additional 1:1 virtual clinical support for completing examinations with our Provider Training Specialist.
• Malpractice and Collaborative Physician will be provided by Modern Med Health Solutions.

• As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you are compensated with a competitive shift rate.
• $750 per shift after a 90-day probationary period (full schedule/utilization).
• Paid web-based training before starting in the clinic.
• Annual bonus.
