Emergency Room Technician II; EMT

Overview

The Emergency Department at Munson Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center, Regional Referral Center, Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, with a dedicated behavioral health wing. The Emergency Department is a 43-bed unit that provides care for northern Michigan.

• Support patient care tasks, patient interactions, supply stocking, transportation of patients, and assist with procedures.
• Utilize clinical knowledge to assist with patient needs.
• Allow for professional development in areas of clinical skills, communication, and customer service.
• Daily work includes utilizing phones, answering call lights, working with peers, and patient interaction.

• Minimum one‑year emergency/urgent care experience or college education equivalent preferred.
• Maintains BCLS certification.
• EMT licensure preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate the criticality of patient needs.
• Superior customer‑relation skills.
