Position: Plastic Surgeon - Copper Traverse City

Overview

Cosmetic Physician Partners (CPP) is a leading medical aesthetics platform with over 65 clinics across 19 states. With a proven track record of having successfully built and sold a similar platform in the same industry in Canada, CPP launched in 2021 in the US. Since then, CPP has grown to one of the largest consolidators in the Aesthetic space using a partnership model to bring clinics on board.

We are currently looking for a skilled plastic surgeon to join Dr. Jeffries’ surgical aesthetic team at Copper Aesthetics located in Traverse City, Michigan. Located in the vacation meccas of Traverse City and Petoskey, MI, the practice has been the go-to source for aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery since its founding 20 years ago. The current practice is 95% cosmetic and features a popular Med Spa with Sciton and InMode devices and a well-trained, mature staff that is trusted by the community.

The main Traverse City location features a quad-A certified OR. This opportunity is perfect for a new graduate or young surgeon who is ambitious to craft their ideal practice in this amazing part of the country. The successful applicant will have freedom and resources to pursue surgical avenues he or she may choose, as the practice has experience in a wide variety of cases, including autologous tissue breast reconstruction and burn/ trauma reconstruction.

For an aesthetic focused surgeon, the practice is well prepared to have an associate busy from day one, taking advantage of our staff experience and processes, and catering to a very reasonable mid-western patient population— this is the perfect place to hone your craft as you become an important component of our community.

The Location

Northern Michigan features four wonderful seasons, with amenities to match along pristine fresh water shorelines, family-friendly ski hills, and plentiful championship golf courses, to name a few. The region remains highly agricultural, with cherry farms and vineyards dotting the landscape. It is not unusual to find homes on significant acreage in the countryside, and hunting and fishing opportunities are almost limitless.

The practice operates out of two hospitals and two surgery centers, in addition to the office OR. Both hospitals are level 2 Trauma Centers and the practice takes call at the Traverse City hospital (Munson Medical Center.) The ratio of call responsibility is approximately 1:5. Partnership after one year is the ideal track, though physicians wanting to be employed long term will be considered.

Northern Michigan is the place in which mid westerners vacation, but wish they could stay. This is the opportunity to do just that, and also to craft a surgical practice that can thrive on the basis of our platform in the hands of a motivated, skilled physician.

As a plastic surgeon, your responsibilities will include consulting with patients before surgery, advising them on the best surgical options and associated risks, and performing surgeries and patient follow-ups.
