Job Description
Munson Healthcare is seeking a Medical Director for Wound Care to oversee clinical operations, provide direct patient care, lead in the supervision of APPs, and help guide and direct the development and provisions of medical services. In this position, the Medical Director is responsible for the oversight of medical services rendered as well as the quality of wound care provided.

- Medical Supervision.
- The Physician shall provide overall medical supervision for the Program in conformance with the Health System’s policies and procedures applicable standards of The Joint Commission ("TJC") and/or other agencies, and federal, state and local laws and regulations. Periodic medical reviews shall be conducted by the Physician to ensure compliance with the foregoing and with quality assurance and medical audit programs of the Health System.
- Clinical Advice and Supervision. The Physician shall have the responsibility, with approval from the appropriate administrative officers of the Health System, for the direction and supervision of the Program and to assist in the determination of:
- The methods, means, and details for all procedures relating to the Program.
- The development and implementation of the Program’s written policies, rules and regulations to govern the care and related medical and other health services provided to patients.
- The proper utilization of appropriate treatment for patients.
- The necessary materials and supplies to be used in the Program, with proper consideration given to both quality and cost effectiveness.
- The implementation of new clinical procedures and tests in the Program.
- The content material and subject matter of all reports of examinations and procedures relating to the Program.
- The qualifications, training, level of competence and degree of clinical skill required for the performance of clinical procedures relating to the Program by other physicians and the Hospital’s employees.
- The appropriate equipment and instruments to be used in the Program.
- The direction of the Hospital’s employees in the Program concerning the clinical practices and methods determined to be appropriate and necessary.
Education;
Compliance with Laws. The Physician shall be available at reasonable times for consultation with individual physicians, nursing, pharmacy and administrative employees of the Hospital and for the presentation of educational in‑services.
