Primary Function: Supervises Project Superintendents, Projects Engineers and Interns assigned to project. Provides overall onsite management of a construction project and serve as the primary field contact regarding the project, with responsibility for all aspects of construction from pre-construction through post-construction.
Typical Duties:
- Provide guidance and training to Project Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Interns.
- Consult with Project Executives on large, complex problems on projects.
- Participate in business development efforts.
- Work closely with Project Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Engineer.
- Manage project progress schedules and provide guidance to PM staff on scheduling.
- Identify schedule challenges and provide solutions to move forward.
- Participate in preconstruction as needed.
- Supervise the assigned jobsite(s).
- Communicate with the Owner, Architect/Engineer, Contractors, and Suppliers.
- Coordinate the work of Contractors with expedited material deliveries.
- Monitor and control job costs and schedule.
- Ensure on-site quality control.
- Administer subcontracts and purchase orders at the jobsite.
- Utilize shop drawings and product data submittals into the on-site operations.
- Provide onsite administration of a change management system.
- Comply with Miller-Davis Company's Safety Program and safety regulations.
- Complete projects within time, cost and quality requirements.
- Prior construction experience including at least seven years as a Project Superintendent.
- College Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or related curricula helpful.
- Technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
- Certifications preferred: OSHA 30, CPR, LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate
